However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
What shame is there in being a Christian? Actually, none. The problem is that some people have claimed the Christian label, but their actions are not at all Christ-like.
Jesus loved everyone! And he demonstrated that love through His actions. By word and deed, Jesus loved the poor, the outcast of society, religious leaders, politicians, and even those who treated Him with outright antagonism. Nobody was outside of Jesus’ loving kindness.
And there is the challenge for all of us who claim the name of Christ(ian). We must display His love to everyone through our words and actions.
