And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.
We are all teachers. It might be a bit intimidating to think so, but the truth is that others are listening to my voice and watching my actions. They learn from everything I say and do. I am not worried “that” people remember, but more concerned about “what” they will remember.
What will others remember, “after my departure”? I hope my actions and words will enable the people around me to live more joy filled, faithful lives. But I know that, more often than I’d like to admit, I would be embarassed to see my words and actions repeated.
And so, I seek God’s help. I seek His presence in my life so that “what” others learn will be filled with hope, love, healing, mercy, forgiveness, grace . . .
